Workflow Manager Prepress
You are at the heart of optimizing our prepress workflows. As Workflow Manager Prepress, you ensure that graphic files for packaging are prepared flawlessly and efficiently, so that every printing technique — whether flexo, offset or rotogravure — is executed to perfection.
Not only do you work with advanced tools such as AdobeCreative Suite and ESKO Automation Engine, but also with the latest AI tools that make prepress processes smarter, faster, and more reliable. Your main responsibilities are:
- Developing and optimizing automated workflows for prepress processes.
- Management and maintenance of ESKO Automation Engine workflows and other relevant prepress software.
- Analyzing and improving existing prepress processes to maximize efficiency and error reduction.
- Supporting prepress employees in solving technical challenges within automated processes.
- Collaborate with various departments (Customer Support, DTP studio and printing plate production) to ensure a seamless production flow.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and trends in prepress automation — including AI — and translate them into concrete improvements.
- Training employees in the use of automated prepress workflows.
What do you bring?
- At least 5 years of experience in a prepress environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Completed education in Graphic Technology, Printing and Media Technology, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of printing techniques and the manufacture of printing forms.
- Experience with setting up and managing automated workflows (e.g. Esko Automation Engine, Hybrid Cloudflow)
- Extensive knowledge of various graphics software, systems and techniques, such as;
- Specialist graphics software from ESKO (including Artpro+, Artpro, Packedge, Plato), Hybrid (Packz).
- Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Font management (including Extensis).
- Color management, software and test systems (including GMG Open Color).
- Scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Applescript, Extendscript, XML, SQL).
- Mac OS and MS Windows operating systems.
- An eye for detail and a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
- Analytical and problem solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as a team.
