As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you are the first link in our sales process. You focus on identifying and approaching potential customers, schedule appointments for our sales team and thus lay the foundation for long-term collaborations. You help expand our network and build relationships with brands that want to move forward in the packaging world. Where Volkers plays a crucial role in the design to print process.
What are you going to do?
As a BDR at Volkers, you play an essential role in generating new business opportunities and supporting our sales team. Your responsibilities include:
- Actively approaching prospects via phone, email and social media.
- Planning appointments and introductions for our sales team with potential customers.
- Identifying customer needs and challenges to better tailor our services.
- Developing a strategic account plan to identify the added value per business case.
- Following up on leads and coordinating the first steps in the sales process.
- Carrying out market research and identifying new sales opportunities.
What do you bring?
- An energetic, proactive attitude and a drive to score.
- Preferably a completed higher professional education, but relevant work experience in sales or customer contact is also welcome.
- Experience with cold acquisition or customer contact is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
- Interest in the packaging industry and the ambition to develop in it.
